VIII International Symposium on Innovation and Technology (SIINTEC) will bring the subject “Circular Chemistry and Circular Economy” this year. This theme will promote information exchanges, learning, and cases between professionals, companies, industries, and students from many areas of knowledge to improve and disseminate the scientific and technological development of the country. For this intent, it seeks the massive participation of academia, companies, civil society, and industry involved in research, development, and innovation. With the dissemination of corporate sustainability, topics such as “Circular Chemistry and Circular Economy” bring environmental, social, and governance issues at their core to fully exploit the available material resources through its three basic principles: reduce, reuse and recycle. Going further it aspires to insert processes that have the groundwork for the material itself, the forms of its utilization, and how to reuse its waste. In this way, the life-cycle of products could extend, the waste reused, and a more efficient and sustainable production model could be established over time.

The event goals are to bring a variety of topics related to Circular Chemistry and Circular Economy and how these topics are being treated and worked in academia, human lives, companies, and industry. In the exchange of information and knowledge that the event will provide, get to know models, and challenges, assess the importance of the topic for today, provide suggestions and seek from industries and companies a significant and necessary partner in the solutions that the academy proposes.

In this context, the event presents a program led to disseminate knowledge on the central theme in three days of academic, scientific, and technological works through lectures, panels, and presentations of research projects carried out by national and international researchers, institutions in an oral format, and printed posters.
The approved papers are published in the yearbook and have registration under the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICTI), ISSN 2357-7592. This publication count on specific sessions, divided as Modeling and Industrial Technology, Management and Industrial Technology, Engineering and Sustainable Development, and it supports us of having an overview about the adherence and repercussion of the event among the academic environment.
