FERMENTAÇÃO ALCOÓLICA DE HIDROLISADO DE BAGAÇO DE CANA UTILIZANDO Saccharomyces cerevisiae RECOMBINANTE IMOBILIZADA

O efeito de diferentes concentrações de etanol e da presença de inibidores sobrea fermentação de xilose e glicose foi avaliado em experimentos conduzidos em meio complexo(YPDX) e em hidrolisado de bagaço de cana de açúcar (HB). As células de levedurarecombinante foram imobilizadas em alginato de cálcio e o efeito protetor do alginato ainibidores presentes no meio HB foi constatado. Por outro lado, a exposição a altasconcentrações de etanol por tempo prolongado causou a perda de viabilidade das células,mesmo imobilizadas, a partir da segunda batelada repetida.
