Tool for evolutionary aided architectural design. Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithm applied to Multi-Objective Automated Floor Plan Generation

Tool for evolutionary aided architectural design. Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithm applied to Multi-Objective Automated Floor Plan Generation

Nisztuk, Maciej ; Myszkowski, Paweł ;

Article:

The paper presents the ELISi multi-criteria optimisation application for AFPGbased on Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithm (HEA). The research aims to createfunctional computational design tool for architects, mimicking the workflow ofarchitectural design process. The article includes explanation of the proposedapproach: problem representation, genetic algorithm operators, fitness functionsdefinitions, post processing operations, software functionalities and workflow aswell as achieved architectural results and outline of future research.
