Universidad Verde y Sustentable [Green and Sustainable University] (USEN) is a multidisciplinary project carried out at the Universidad de Sonora that emerged from a national program where international specialists trained university professors in applied leadership, energy efficiency and renewable energies. The project integrates architecture, design, landscaping, energy efficiency, technology and sustainability and includes the technical training of professionals, university students, teachers and the community, as well as the design and promotion of a social marketing campaign tha seeks to create a paradigm change in the consumption of energy resources, environmental care, the use of renewable energies, sustainability and resilience.
