The research goal was to evaluate BIM knowledge among professionals in orderto delineate an overview concerning BIM adoption by the AEC industry of SaoPaulo, Brazil. The research method consisted of the application of a quantitativeand qualitative online survey questionnaire. Results has shown the lack ofadequately BIM trained personnel is still a significant constraint hindering apotentially wider adoption of the technology in the construction industry.
