Additive Manufacturing of Ceramics

Additive Manufacturing of Ceramics

Slowik, Teddy ;

Article:

Additive manufacturing (AM) is vastly developing across the industrial landscapeand has recently expanded outside of the traditional polymeric andmetallic-based materials. Ceramics are an ever-present material in thearchitectural field, but there has been minimal evolution in its associatedmanufacturing processes. The limitations of additive manufacturing of ceramicsare quickly evolving and will soon create new potentials for architecturalproducts and applications. This paper offers an overview of these limitations thatare tested and examined through a case study.
