USING MOSAICmodeling AND CAPE-OPEN INTERFACES FOR PROPERTY CALCULATIONS IN MATLAB

The goal of this work is to implement CAPE-OPEN function calls to calculate physical properties in an absorber model implemented in the free-to-use software MOSAICmodeling and simulated in MATLAB. In this way, the user can concentrate on the model development itself instead of struggling with programming issues and manual re-implementation of transport and thermodynamic properties. This methodology is successfully applied to compute properties for a system of ammonia and water. Hence, MOSAICmodeling combined with CAPE-OPEN platforms offers advantageous resources for process modeling of complex systems.
