The retro in design: aesthetic appeal in contemporaneity

This article presents a study about the retro style and its aesthetic appeal in contemporaneity, based in bibliographic research and informal questions that intends to explore the diffusion of the style as a rereading of classical visual references, rescuing simbolic images related to cultural habits present in society’s life. The goal of this research is to understand how the retro style relates to society and why its visual appeal is so successful and rooted not only in aesthetic questions, but also simbolic ones.
