The concept proposed by Villém Flusser: ‘Everything, particularly science, politics, art and religion [...] can be reconstituted from the organization of factories,’ reflects our objective with this work. Which is to investigate how graphic design relates to the means of production through the study of a company that supplied cliches for printing. Through the analysis of a technical manual and other sources we rescued part of the history of industries that have implemented new technologies to answer design and market demands in the early twentieth century.
