Artigo:

Staphylococcus aureus is a gram-positive bacterium of the Micrococcaceae family. It is the main human pathogen causing several types of clinical infections from a simple infection, such as boils, to most severe diseases as endocarditis, bacteremia, sepsis and toxic shock syndrome (LOWY, 1998; SANTOS et al., 2007; OTTO, 2014; COHEN et al., 2016). This bacterium produces various exotoxins, such as alpha hemolysin (αHL), that collaborate to its capacity to colonize mammalian hosts and to cause several diseases (DINGES et al., 2000).
