The importance of lettering to the development of small and medium business

This paper presents a theoretical reflection about the influence of popular lettering found in the Varzea''s neighborhood, in Recife, on the current development of local business. Through the analysis of four letterings and the establishments they are found, it was possible to trace a discussion about the effectiveness of the message of these graphic solutions in the essential fulfillment of communication, and their dissemination in times of easy access to digital media.
