Este artigo apresenta parte dos resultados da dissertação “Os contornos de sentido do termo design no fomento ao artesanato no Sebrae”, desenvolvida pela autora deste artigo e tem por fim perceber os usos do design aplicados no fomento ao artesanato, analisando os modos com que o termo design vem sendo acionado pelo Sebrae, buscando compreender como se dão as interferências destes conceitos nas práticas de designers no fomento ao artesanato realizados pela agência, através da análise de documentos gerados pelo Sebrae sobre as categorias design e artesanato.

This article presents part of the results of the dissertation "The contours of meaning of the term design in the promotion of crafts in the Sebrae", developed by the author of this article and aims to realize what design we are applying in the promotion of crafts, analyzing the ways in which the term design has been triggered by the Sebrae, seeking to understand how the interference of these concepts in the practices of designers in the promotion of craftsmanship by the agency, through the analysis of documents generated by Sebrae on the categories of design and craftsmanship.
