"Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a structured and multidisciplinarydata organization methodology focused on interoperability and error reduction. InBrazil, this methodology is most used in the building construction sector, however, inthe field of Geotechnical Engineering the level of robustness is still low. This workaims to create a methodology for organizing and representing geotechnical data,which could help the AECO sector (Architecture, Engineering, Construction andOperation) to manage industrial and infrastructure projects. Based on the analysis ofpublished works on the topic, a study area was chosen in which several geotechnicaltests were carried out. With the availability of the results of these tests, the data wasorganized and using Autodesk Civil 3D® software, parametric modelling was carriedout in different layers of the subsoil of the case study. The study carried outdemonstrates that it is possible to model geotechnical parameters with BIM and thatit is a field that can be explored with application potential."
