Artigo:

The present work investigates the theoretical orientations of creative methods in design processes for the management of cultural diversity. To this end, a systematic review of the literature is carried out, comprising papers in the scope of design for cultural diversity, with emphasis on creative methods and tools. The results obtained indicate the predominance of practices oriented to transcultural design, where cultural diversity is treated as an obstacle to be overcome or just as a source of indirect creative reference. It was also identified the growing presence of methods oriented towards intercultural design, where diversity is considered an essential active component for the production of creativity. Finally, this paper proposes a discussion about the epistemological orientation of each method and how these debates reflect advances in the theoretical and practical field of design.
