Design and Generative Artificial Intelligences: A Systematic Literature Review

Com a facilitação do seu acesso e uso, as inteligências artificiais gerativas (IAGs) têm se tornado cada vez mais relevantes em processos criativos, o que abrange o campo do Design. Assim, o propósito deste estudo é construir um panorama sobre como têm se desenvolvido as pesquisas sobre estas tecnologias, investigando em quais campos essas discussões estão acontecendo e quais são os pontos centrais dessa produção. O artigo também tem como proposta entender a relação das IAGs com o Design, como tem sido a integração dessas ferramentas nos processos da área, como essa absorção se reflete na relevância organizacional do campo, bem como o nível de aprofundamento dessas pesquisas. O estudo faz esse mapeamento por meio de uma revisão sistemática de literatura e utiliza como método a Teoria do Enfoque Meta Analítico Consolidado (TEMAC) com adaptações. São apresentadas análises a partir da coleta de dados bibliométricos sobre a produção científica de artigos nos últimos dez anos (entre 2013 e 2023) e uma articulação de conceitos e teorias discutidas nos artigos que melhor responderam às questões apresentadas.

Therefore, this study aims to build an overview of how research on generative artificial intelligence (GAIs) has been developed, from the point of view of which field these discussions are taking place and what are the central points of this production. The article also proposes to understand the relationship between GAIs and Design, how these tools have been integrated into the area's processes, how this absorption is reflected in the organizational relevance of the field, as well as the level of depth of these studies. The paper does this mapping through a systematic literature review and uses the Consolidated Meta Analytic Approach Theory as a method with adaptations. Analyzes are presented from the collected bibliometric data on the scientific production of articles in the last ten years (between 2013 and 2023) and an articulation of concepts and theories discussed in the articles that best answered the research questions.
