An architect might be keen towards form generation, urge for spatial rights of the economically weak, or ensure cradle-to-cradle material loop in professional practice. Their interests, attitudes, beliefs and design processes are diverse and unique. But, as faculty of design, one consciously or subconsciously does not relate the implications of design exercises conducted in studio on the student’s personality and career inclinations. In this qualitative study, we aim to identify the prevalent pedagogical methods of conduct design studios and their resultant architect role models. The research findings will help develop design briefs and conduct design studios relevant to varied architect roles.
