The Information, Instrucional and Interaction Design from the perspective of use in Learning Digital Artifacts

This article gives an overview of the preliminary convergence between Information, Instructional and Interaction Design. Additional discussions and comparisons on their concepts, key terms and phases of procedural methodology are also investigated. Furthermore, a comparative analysis is also undertaken between the Principles of Design Information (Redig, 2004), the Principles of Usability (Nielsen, 2001) and the Principles of Electronic Learning in Multimedia (Filatro, 2008). Thus, shaded areas between these fields of knowledge are revealed, thereby pointing to a need for their integration in the planning and development stages of educational digital artifacts.
