Full Article:

Natural Stone is a material that has been widely used by our ancestors for centuries. The applicability and functionality of this material in terms of its technical characteristics are more than justified, due to the fact that they have been put to test for decades. Beyond the good mechanical and physical benefits that products in natural stone provide, it is important to reflect on the sensations, emotions and feelings that it carries. We pretend, with this study, to identify the variables that we can analyse the wellbeing sensations that the products in natural stone provide to us. Thus, we proceeded to a data collection regarding to the material characteristics, how we perceive and understand this characteristics like wellbeing sensations and the possible products typologies to develop. The results list a series of variables related aspects studied and emphasize about the sight and the touch as the sense organs most influential in the process of perception of products made in this material. We can conclude that products made from natural stone causes sensations that can be worked in order to provide wellbeing sensations to human.
