O projeto de sistemas de engenharia configura-se como um problema multi-objetivo. Este por sua vez, é inerentemente conflitante, isto é, a melhora em um dos objetivos acarreta piora no outro. Dentre as inúmeras aplicações que podem ser encontradas na literatura, o projeto de estator, componente que faz parte do motor e cuja função base é conduzir o fluxo magnético, configura-se como um interessante tema de pesquisa, já que está diretamente relacionado aos custos de fabricação de motores. Neste contexto, o presente trabalho tem por objetivo a formulação e a resolução de um estator de motor de indução trifásico considerando como objetivos a minimização do volume do estator e a maximização da eficiência via determinação do vetor de variáveis geométricas que caracterizam o modelo matemático apresentado. Para essa finalidade é utilizado o algoritmo MODE (Multi-objective Optimization Differential Evolution). Os resultados obtidos com o algoritmo MODE são confrontados com os aqueles obtidos pelo algoritmo NSGA II (Non-dominate Sorting Genetic Algorithm).

The design of engineering systems is configured as a multi-objective problem. This in turn, is inherently conflictual, that is, improvement in one objective results in worsening the other. Among the numerous applications which may be found in the literature, stator design, component which is part of the motor and whose function based is to conduct the magnetic flux, sets up as an interesting research topic, since it is directly related to motor manufacturing costs. In this context, this work aims the formulation and the resolution of a stator three phase induction motor considering as objectives to minimize the volume of the stator and maximize efficiency using determining the vector of geometric variables that characterize the mathematical model presented. For this purpose is used MODE (Multi-objective Optimization Differential Evolution) algorithm. The results obtained the MODE algorithm are compared with those obtained by the NSGA II (Non-dominate Sorting Genetic Algorithm) algorithm.
