Full Article:

This paper discusses design product teaching focusing on the volumetric construction in the digital modelling and gestural interfaces context. More specifically the interfaces hand gestures as a means of human-machine interaction that could provide meaningful learning. Therefore we studied the three-dimensional structures construction systematization by origami techniques. The movements used in these techniques were compared with those captured and translated in gestural interface motion. Hence a pattern of gestures can be created and employed in future modelling applications that use the origami practice in digital environment with gestural interfaces. The gestural interface can be applied to modelling teaching for design students in the beginning of their course.
